Payment and Insurance Benefits 

OHIP does not cover services provided by a Registered Psychotherapist.  However, many insurance companies provide coverage for Registered Psychotherapists.

Fees for counselling and psychotherapy may be covered by your EAP benefits offered through your work insurance provider.  It is a good idea to check with your plan prior to starting therapy to find out what type of coverage they provide.  We are unable to confirm coverage for you by your insurance plan.

Questions you may want to ask you insurance provider include:

• Do I have coverage for services provided by a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)?

• Do I need a referral from a physician to qualify for coverage?

• What percentage of the fee does my plan cover?

• Is there a maximum dollar amount or number of sessions per year that I am covered for?

• How do I get reimbursed?

Note that we cannot directly bill your insurance company.  Receipts will be provided upon payment for you to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
